You don’t need to tip taxi drivers.

You can only use pesos on a bus. It’s 7 pesos per person (one way).
-
You have to wave a bus down to get them to stop for you.
-
Tell the bus driver where you want to go before you get on, you will need to tell him to stop when you are actually ready to get off.
-
Exchange your money at the airport for a better rate than buying things with US dollars.
-
Prices are better downtown.
-
Almost every restaurant pays locals a commission for recommendations.
-
You never have the right of way when crossing the street.
-
Always carry change (pesos).
